PierAngelo Pelucchi received his diploma in Piano, Choral Music and Choral Conducting, Singing Teaching, Singing Artistic, Composition, Instrumentation for Band, Harpsichord and in Orchestra Conducting. He also completed his academic studies in Orchestral Conducting at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and under the direction of Karl üsterreicher, at the Musikhochschule in Vienna.
He is Professor at the Conservatorio &lduo;Jacopo Tomadini” in Udine and, as guest Professor, in several Europeans schools of Conservatorio (including Mannheim, Seville, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Salamanca), where he hold Masterclasses particularly on the interpretation of the Italian work of the Nineteenth Century.
Since 1985 he has dedicated himself to the orchestral conducting, supporting concerts throughout all Europe especially with the symphonic, sacred-symphonic and of opera repertoire, with an activity carried out in Europe, Eastern Europe and South Korea.
In addition to his activity of conducting, he held conferences and seminars; he is also author of several essays on the Italian works repertoire from the eighteen and nineteenth Century, on Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Ferlendis and, particularly on Giovanni Simone Mayr, who he is considered one of the most important international expert about.
He also edited many critical reviews and recordings.
He is Director of class of Ateneo di Scienze, Lettere e Arti di Bergamo and he is member of several European musical and musicological institutions.
Since 1991 he is Artistic Director of Harmonia Gentium of Lecco.
